Hi Josh, your work is wonderful. A query that you applied for those bright whites and how do you achieve such a black black hahaha, I'm using some pencils from the brand CretaColor (that's what I could get at the moment), but the black seems rather gray, no matter how much I mark it it looks so black. Do you have any advice? Thank you very much
@ginger_andrea Hello, thank you very much! I made the lights by generating pores with a pencil and at the end giving details with a white marker. The blacks using the highest saturation and sometimes making base with black marker, as in the background. Also if it is of good quality the black marker can be mixed with the pencil and a nice depth of black is generated.
Excellent work! Congratulations!. The use of black and white markers allows you to control and emphasize the highlights and shadows very well and give a very attractive appearance to the final work.
I do not use them, simply because I take the job as a challenge to achieve only with colored pencils, and I prefer to achieve the deepest blacks only with pencils and the most intense whites by reserving the white of the paper, which makes everything much more laborious. Of course, it is not bad to add other tools to colored pencils when drawing, in fact, I do it in illustrations that are digitized and are intended for advertising or editorial reproduction, the idea of using only colored pencils in The work that I do to show itself as original, simply obeys a personal position that I have taken, and that could change at any time, incorporating some of those other accessory tools as well. The important thing is that the magnificent result you have achieved is due to the excellent use that you gave to your tools and not to the tools themselves. Congratulations again! Greetings.
@nestorcanavarro you have been a before and after in the way of understanding drawing, I would not know how to thank it, The million @nestorcanavarro question: The issue of textures and depth of color seems to have been captured, but how would it be achieved in Graphite?
Substituting the darker color for a 6B and a medium tone, what would 4B be? 2B?
Thanks a lot
Hi. I am glad that the course has served you.
Although there are several ways to work in graphite, I prefer to arrive at the darkest values from overlapping layers of progressive graduations ... that is, layers of H, then HB, and if I need a lot of darkness, I add layers of B, 2B and even 4B if you need a very black area. What you have to make sure is to apply those successive layers very smoothly, without ever squeezing the pencil. For light grays I can get to work with this method from graphite 9H if necessary ...
I am really impressed with your work !!! You would have to give courses.
You are the case of the student who surpassed the teacher.
Congratulations 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
