Thank you so much Adriana for this wonderful course, which I have enjoyed very much, although it was quite a challenge for me. I did not count the number of times I watched the videos, started the samples, let them to the side, returned to them again, almost gave up, but then I looked at your beautiful sample again and realised how much work was involved, so it gave me confidence to carry on.
I choose my own design, because doing just knots was going to drive me nuts, and I don't know if I would have finished the project. As I do not have any programs such as Procreate or similar, I used a vintage illustration, which I transferred on the fabric with a light box. The fabric is a raw cotton ideal for watercolor painting. I then used techniques learned in previous courses. I imagined the little girl was wearing an elephant mask for a
carnival or a part, hence the cords made with the Japa mala knots. My idea was to hang the heart of the lotus flower, because it reminded me of the Chinese paper lanterns, but I made two attempts, but didn't manage to make this lovely round ball (I need more practice). To finish the project, I took my acrylic paints and mixed them until I reached the shade I wanted to paint my hoop. All in all, I am delighted with what I have learned, and I will certainly use what I have learned in a future project. Thanks again for a great course.

@mamocho_07_1 Thank you so much. For the skirt I used the Trellis Stitch (learned in the course: Embroidery illustrations from watercolor to threads from Gabi Goitia), I then filled the Trellis with lazy daisy stitch and french knots.

@bluepicnic Thank you so much, but I have less merit because I didn't do the whole course project. For the center of the lotus 🪷 flower, i tried to do the little ball a couple of times, and it didn't look very good. It was a hard course but a very interesting one.

@amilcarblanco7 😆😆 Gracias, muchas gracias. I cheated a little by using paint to fill up my project. Doing all those knots was driving me crazy! 😆 Still is was an interesting course. Hope you are well. It is hot here, fortunately the sea is very near. Not doing much embroidery right now. 😎

PlusWell, I don't think it was a trap since that was a complete success since that gave more charm to your piece.
Well, if there is also a lot going on here, Madrid is very dry and can be tolerated a little better, well not much hehehehehe
