Fun project! How do the shape of my letters look? It took awhile to make the letters and found out that making them smooth instead of TOO bouncy/curvy reads and looks better.
Do you always make a organic shape as the outer container? If it was a square it might not have the lively movement.
Also do you recommend trying out any other container layouts for practice?
Any feedback would be great

Teacher PlusReally really nice work done throughout the class, dude! Overall, loving the flow and playfulness throughout. I dig the roundness you have throughout each letterform to give them all a bit more softness.
To answer your question about the container shape — really just depends on the end product of the illustration. Sometimes you can be fine without it but it does help separate the elements if it were to be sitting on top of other things in the background. I think it's working nicely here because its giving the whole thing a bit of contrast with the color scheme you chose!
And as for your continuing practice, yes! Keep exploring varying container shapes and fitting type into unique situations. You'll see great progress the more you practice.
Lastly, only advice for the finalization stage is the amount of colors and textures you have going on. Currently there's a lot of different "ideas" so to speak. Since the glass illustration is the only thing textured, it feels somewhat out of place in regards to everything else. To fix that, I would either add texture to your lettering throughout OR go the route of removing the texture on the glass so it fits with the flatness of the type currently.
Same goes for that subtle gradient occurring in the glass. It sort of feels out of place since that's the only place that has a gradient. It's all about consistency!
Hope this all helps and again, thanks for working on this for the class. Great work.

@youbringfire thanks Scott for your review and videos! As I reviewed the videos the container idea for the type is what got out of your class.
When u mean glass, u mean - party all night?
Is it possible to post a another practice one here?
Thanks
Rick

Teacher Plus@redznak2003 Awesome to hear! And as for the glass, I mean the martini/wine glass illustration you have in there. That has the texture added to it so I wonder if there's a way to either add that texture elsewhere OR remove it entirely to help the cohesiveness.
As for the practice, happy to provide more feedback on your practice pieces if that's what you mean!
