Hi Marcus, thank you for your kind instruction and great creativity! I really liked your different works that you presented after the final project video. I could learn a lot from the fluid technique with limited color palette. I still need spontaneousness, as I go too much into detail, and I don't know when to stop. I also tried different background solution, but I am not very satisfied; any suggestion? The short Photoshop instruction was very helpful, although I still need to learn how to master the subtle adjustment in Photoshop.

Teacher PlusHi @fuzuki !
I am very grateful for the kind words, and very happy to hear that the course was useful for you.
Not knowing when to stop is something that happens to every watercolourist, I've lost count of how many times I've told myself "just this detail" before ruining a painting.
I recommend that you just stop occasionally, look at the painting from afar and ask yourself if you really need to develop more. When I studied with my master Gonzalo Cárcamo, I liked to stop to change the painting water, get some coffee and maybe talk to another student. This quick detachment forced me to look at the painting again with different eyes, I tried to remember what I was doing and it helped me to stop concentrating on the details.
Anyway, I think you're going in a good way, your style is very loose, and you're clearly getting the painting values right (I loved the sepia study!) and that's the most difficult thing in the beginning.
