You'll be creating the Basic Puppy Pattern in this course but I've also adapted the pattern by following the Custom Puppy Workbook and referring to the Muzzle and Ear dossiers and have created patterns for a Whippet, Dachshund and, my most recent, Dalmatian which you can also have as patterns.
I've started on a Pug pattern and I think he'll be my next puppy... I'm also going to create a bull-mastiff pup for my son's girlfriend!!
In the meantime I thought you might want to see which yarn I used for each of the completed patterns (all this info. is also written in the patterns and using 3.50mm straight needles)
Whippet (I also used 3.75mm needles for the body):
2 balls Drops Baby Alpaca Silk shade 8108 Light Grey
1 ball Drops Kid-Silk shade 43 Blue Wind

1 ball Knitting for Olive shade Caramel

Drops Kid-Silk (lace-weight Mohair) shade 01 Off-White x 3 25g balls
Yarn D approx. 3 m / 3.5 yards of dark brown aran yarn for Upper Inner Mouth I used Loti Lettlopi (aran-weight) shade 0053 Brown
Drops Kid-Silk (lace-weight Mohair) shade 22 Ash Grey x quarter 25g ball
Drops Kid-Silk (lace-weight Mohair) shade 38 Chalk x quarter 25g ball
plus small amount of dark brown mohair yarn for the markings I used Drops Kid-silk shade 15
P.S I wish I'd added a pink mohair to the paws... maybe another time!

I made my first little puppy. I'm very proud of it because I don't speak English at all. I downloaded the youngest which has just arrived on the Domestika site to enlarge my little family.

Would your course be good for someone that has never knitted before?
