Wow what a fabulous piece. This is really stunning. You’ve really seen those larger shapes such as the shadow across her mouth. This is such a confident piece, with a wonderful range of light, mid and dark tones. The graduated background works so well to ensure that the face takes centre stage… it’s the perfect composition.
