I love the step by step that you have shared and your very clear explanations of the decisions made!
It is true that stitches with different threads and distances open up another range of applications!
The metallic thread, use it a little better! ha! it is difficult but it is good to know it and to see where and how to apply it.
It always happens that from the idea to the embroidery, decisions are made along the way and the final result is not exactly what we had in mind but it is shaped in the process!
