The use of a good paper is essential and would have helped you a lot. A bad stain on good paper looks great. It also allows you to introduce more washes, apply the brush much more times and the appearance of the work would be totally different.
** Thank you for taking the course!
If you liked it and you are interested in delving into the flesh and skin in watercolor. I leave you my course on the human figure in watercolor, where we delve a little more into color, color palettes and new methodologies.
@casanova_ale Thank you for your opinion. The paper was 290g, but it was a very cheap brand. I'll get better paper and keep practicing. The course is very helpful and it was fun to get to know the technology.
