“In this lesson we're going to start painting the main shapes of the flowers and the leaves with acrylic paint. Let's start with the anemone. I'm now looking at the shape of the anemone, the contour of the petals. It doesn't have to be exact. Just the feel of that flower. It's a bit darker here, inside. Then it has a nice fluted edge. I see a tiny bit of yellow in there, so I'll add it with a very small brush. Very small. That's OK for now, for the first layer. Now we're going to add some light pink tulips. She’s drawn and painted for as long as she can remember, with only a short pause while she studied finance at university. Her love of art was rekindled by an opportunity to study at the renowned Charles H. Cecil studios in Florence, Italy. This pivotal experience ultimately led her to leave a career in finance to pursue her passion for painting.
