“ Influences Now I'll talk you through the people who have inspired me in my artistic practice. First, my mom was an illustrator when I was growing up. All of our play in the house was art. She was heavily influenced by American folk arts, and that is an aesthetic that has continued to excite me throughout my career. I was very lucky to grow up in such an artistic household.
