About the final project for: Fantastic 3D illustration with Blender

Fantastic 3D illustration with Blender

“Thank you for spending part of your time here with me learning 3D illustration techniques with Blender! The moment has arrived. You have learned a bit about choosing your concepts, how to compose them using composition grids. You were able to present models in a coherent way, apply textures according to the intention of your piece, give lighting to your scene and added effects to make it look like a movie. Then refine your scene by hand and with brushes in Photoshop. Now is the time for you to create your own sci-fi concept scene, it doesn't have to have a planet, or be in a desert. You can review patterns and textures of grass and make a meadow with a monolith. Or recreate a scene from your favorite movie. The important thing is that you manage to capture the essence of something fascinating and believe it. Your creation is very important to me, so after you finish it, I will be happy to review it and continue to help you. Maybe not right away, but I'll find the time to do it. Are you ready? Yes, you are ready. REMEMBER: • Begin by preparing the idea for your piece. What and where would you like it to happen? • Prepare a mood board of models and textures, collect from one of the pages that I give you a few models and textures that are close to the idea you just thought of. • With all that ready, prepare Blender to start working. Make sure you have everything you need to start working smoothly. • Present the models to preview your location in the final piece. • Apply the textures you searched for on your mood board to the models so that they can be visually unified. • Add some light sources and play with them to amplify the meaning of your piece. • Detail initial models by adding smaller models around them and apply volumetric effects such as fog or dust. • When your piece in Blender is ready, prepare to render using the advice I gave you and render the piece. • Follow in my footsteps and refine the piece by choosing which parts attract the most attention to detail them more and eliminate detail in the parts that do not need as much attention. • Apply post-processing effects such as dust, particles, and clouds to add an extra touch to your piece. Also, correct the color so that it is close to the idea you originally thought of, or to complement the meaning you want to give it. This is my scene:

And if you have any doubts that you can't even solve for me, there is a lot of information on both Blender and art on the internet. You just have to find it. Maybe you will find it here at Domestika! If you have doubts, I will be in the forum to solve them as soon as possible. I also invite you to interact with your colleagues. After all, we benefit immensely from the opinion of our professional colleagues. Now share your final project with all of us by clicking on "Create your project". Remember to share both the final result of your creation and the steps that have led you to it. It would be great if you showed an image of your steps and added a brief explanation about what you have done in each one. On the other hand, if in addition to the Domestika community, you feel like sharing your creation with the whole world, you can upload photos of your work to Instagram with the hashtag #BrelliasDomestika. I'll love to see the whole process! As you will see, there are many ways to bring a scene to life if you follow the techniques learned during the course. ”

“Final project Congratulations on completing the course. It's been a pleasure teaching you about concept illustration. I hope you enjoyed it and you feel inspired to create your own projects. You're ready to start the journey. Remember to identify which elements will be part of your piece and which ones will be the primary focus. This way you can make composition decisions. Remember the rule of threes to balance the elements of the piece and remember to give meaning and prominence to each one. It's important to identify textures and points of light in the illustration. This will allow you to...”
