PlusBeing active with oil paints, this course is simple to follow and inspiring it has encouraged me to try, and try again at my portraits. I am encouraged by his simple display of brush work, colour mixing and demonstration of logical tips. Valuable to those beginning and curious.

As a course on expressive portraiture, it's fine, but my expectation when taking it was because of the alla prima technique, which is advertised. The professor actually uses this technique when carrying out his project, but he barely refers to it at the beginning, so, during the development of the course, one can only infer the tips and characteristics of this technique. But it is an "alla prima painting course", and it is not enough to infer. The professor should be explicit about the differences and particularities.

I really love the organization of this course. The daunting task of taking on a whole portrait is broken down into easy to follow steps. There's a nice mix of freedom to work on whatever we want, and structure for being able to actually get there.
