Christian friend! I leave you my opinion of your work:
Magnificent character !! I see that you applied geometry in certain parts, not letting yourself be carried away by the style imposed in this course, but adapting yours to what was proposed. I love the textures of the shadows and the color palette, it makes it have personality. As I saw on your instagram you were based on a circus act and that helped me better understand where you got your reference from. the shapes of the hat and the costumes catch me, and inspire me to take a lot of risk when I go to illustrate a new character (I'm going to steal certain elements I assure you hahaha). in the background treatment i see that you used the selection tools, and the bounce lights on the horns, jawbone and cape make them pop out of the frame.
I would have liked to see what color proposals you had for the character, since it is very focused on your reference, suddenly take a chance with a more exaggerated volume, think of darker shades! and personally I would have played with straighter lines on the horns! ...
It only remains for me to tell you that your character feels full of life, transmits a calm energy and above all is captivating!
Thank you very much friend for sharing your final project, I hope the course has served you in something and you know ... here I am for future projects and above all to share in this world called ART: D greetings from Colombia friend!
@edgar_rozo Thank you very much for the return! I share what you say and at the time of sketching certain things such as horns I felt that I should have played more and exaggerate more as you say. I will keep the other in mind for the next one and I think I will also have to separate each element and analyze them better. 10/10 the course, many techniques learned and the encouragement to try to change the workflow a bit (in my case procreate + illustrator), and most importantly, inspiration at every moment of drawing and doing new things!
Greetings from Spain!
PS: I love that I inspire you with the suits and hats haha, if you want to get a little more into that hole, look for Uruguayan costumes. Costumes, hats, scenery, poses and lighting.
