Very good! Subtle ... very good idea ... Congratulations!
I have two ideas blurring everything except the inside of the focused circle ...
Or modify the light and color outside the circle to give it a cooler look and make the inside warmer ...;)
But come on ... that's very plastic and clean.
What a good reframing @elenapx ! The fact that it is circular gives a contrast to the composition that I like a lot, it frames (pun intended) the protagonist and is perfectly integrated, at no time do I think "but what does that do there?" . In fact, everything in the photo maintains a good balance, the light in it, the tones, the environment ... I like it I like it!
Continuing with the things that I like, I realize that the trunk-frame-model relationship works wonders. The weight of the large and dark trunk is offset by the "presentation" made by the mirror of the protagonist. The light and the colors both in it and in the upper left are very beautiful. That recovered blue along with the greens, reds and yellows suit him very well. If colors had personal qualities they would be very nice :)
In terms of technique, little or nothing to say, the way you have chosen to illuminate the model makes her look great, I do see that it is somewhat flat and that it fulfills a more "filling" function than effectual, but precisely that gives it a more natural look in keeping with the rest of the context.
As soon as you write down a suggestion about your photo, the only thing that occurs to me would be to open the frame a little more. Leave everything the same, but place the camera a meter further back and gain some air to prevent the frame from "rubbing" so much underneath.
On the other hand, using the frame can give you a lot of creative play. Looking at your photo, I thought that it would have been nice to put a person sitting right in front of her but cut by the mirror itself. I did something similar in this image
I like these games a lot, but of course, that and each one according to what you are looking for. Anyway, whatever you are looking for, I can only congratulate you on the beautiful image that you have found!
