My project for course: Chiaroscuro Creative Portrait with Pencils

I hurried with this project, I should have really taken my time, but I was eager to give it a try as I've had this course for quite some time and left it incomplete.
I didn't put much thought into the composition or narrative.

The coloured pencils I used were quite waxy and the black oil based Pitt pencil was too soft, and made applying the colours on top quite muddy and dirty, which does not really show in the photographs. The drawing looks cleaner in the photo than in real life.

I also struggled with choosing the colours, I initially tried with pink and green, but didn't feel it worked at all, which I don't worry about because colours and their relationships are a big weak point for me.

This course was very pleasant to follow along to, and I very much enjoyed it.
I will try again sometime with less oily pencils, and at a slower pace doing the side exercises.
