My project in Architectural Illustration: Capture a City’s Personality course (Santiago de Compostela)

Thanks for this amazing course, Carlo. Your work has been really inspiring and, in this weird year for everyone, I’ve decided to learn digital illustration and try to see the positive side of spending so much time at home.

I’ve loved your idea of taking different analogic sketches and merging them together in a digital illustration. This is a square in Santiago de Compostela in a cloudy day in April and I thought I could apply a bit of your style to it.

I’ve tried to mix flat colours, clear linework (changing the line colour sometimes) and some elements painted directly with watercolour. I’ve applied some digital texture too.

I’ll keep working to find my own daimon and not follow your style that much (but it’s been a true inspiration).
