The Runaway Princess 👑! My project in Introduction to Children’s Illustration course

Here is α remake of the classic fairytale "the princess and the pea".
The young princess cannot stand any more all the vegatables served day after day at the palace. This fact worked as an excuce for the the young lady to leave the palace and try to break free!!!!
Late at night she leaves the palace, fearless and determined to find the way to freedom.
When the rain begins to fall, she cries out for help from her fairy godmother.But the fairy never responds!
She realises that achieving hapiness is up to her and keeps on running away from the supressive father, mother and chef!!!!
After having an adventurus night the princess understans that besides freedom she needs some food and a warm bed to feel strong again. So she knocks on the first door she finds( oh dear..it is a castle!)and asks for help.
After a marvelous (non vegan)dinner she goes to sleep, while her future mother in law takes action, in order to find out if she really is a princess!!!!

Dina, this is hilarious! A modern reworking of a classic story :) The artwork is gorgeous. I LOVE the expressions and the details, like the collage crowns and pea, the edges of the bedcover, the patch on one of the mattresses and the newspaper headlines! And Λαχάνισταν (Vegetable-land?)!! That's so funny. You really should make the whole book and publish it!
