My project for course: Natural Illustration with Digital Painting

This project was a lengthy process, but worthwhile. Thank you to Jessica Roux for such an interesting course and for the feedback to add more flowers behind the finch, for balance. The end product is alright - I was using a free digital program called 'Krita' - which I am new to using, so I had trouble working out adjustments layers and levels. So I think some more tweaking would have made it better. Overall, though, I'm happy with the end result. The white highlights were in some way more time consuming than the graphite techniques - more fiddly. But when I compare the before and after, persisting was worth it. My overall drawing techniques need to improve but I gained from this course some new insights into digital techniques which I hope will improve my drawings overtime.
