@jethromoraless Hi Jethro, There is so much I like about this piece, not least of which is all the memories you evoked for me! I like how you write about that first run and the precise details of the route. I like how the piece starts with a sense of hell and gradually becomes about a return to a natural state and a sense of joy. Your description of watching someone else run and that determination in their face is wonderful – it's so true! Sometimes I see other runners and everything about them feels so completely present and right in what they're doing. It's a beautiful observation.
The way you write also has a running quality to it, the longer paragraphs, and then the shorter paragraphs just after the midway mark that are almost like moments when you catch your breath. And then keep going. I like that!
