For my final project I wanted to bring a classic japanese folktale "Momotaro" (or Peach Boy) and mix the story with brazilian elements, flora and fauna. In the class version, "Momotaro" emerges from a peach. In my version, he emerges from a guava fruit ;) In this case he'd be Guava boy hahaha Also, the landscape has a more tropical vibe and the colors i chose were based on tipical fruits and plants from the amazon region.
For the final project I depicted three different scenes: When the grandmother finds the guava by the river; when "Momotaro" decides to leave home where the grandmother and grandfather are to pursue his adventures and the final one is when he and his 3 friends that he encountered on the way (monkey, bird and dog) go to face the monsters on the island.
I had a lot of fun exlporing the different textures and techinques and thinking of the final compostition. I really wanted to make the characters a part of the landscpae. There are some thing I still need to work on but as a first project I think I've learned a lot!

Really like your project, the little text clouds, your textures, marks, and drawing.

Docent PlusAmy from heaven, I didn't answer you around here! But come on, it's not too late!
I am delighted with your series. I really liked the way you worked different planes in the composition, it made the whole much more dynamic. There are very nice details to observe, the animals hidden in the mountain or the texts you used to create textures in the clouds and coconuts (I was wondering, did you use the text from the original story?). The textures enriched the composition, although you used a lot of variations, the image wasn't overloaded because you knew how to balance their tones to make everything much more subtle. I enjoyed seeing their stamps and the use of real leaves to create the vegetation. Congratulations, the series was a success! Thanks for sharing with us!
