My project for course: Graphic Illustration Laboratory

The challenge was to study something that is a constant in my everyday life routine.
For me, it’s my kid’s bedtime musical plushie. And he won’t go to sleep… So for hours in a row, every night I have it next to me while singing lullabies, and reading stories, and he is still not sleeping.

Let’s make this constant a fun poster exploring drawing, painting materials, mix media, textures, and colors.

1. Observation. Drawing structure with alcohol markers.

2. Draft, scene planning, and composition. Pencil drawing and poster composition.
Atmosphere. Color studies on drawing composition thumbnails.

3. Painting. Using the first layer textured. Following the chosen color study. Thick final strokes.

4. Final digital poster.
