Hola Lina!
My photopoema is about our general way of leading everyday life. My title would be Lingering instead of rushing through life. With my poema I want to describe the process during which we can say stop to the constantly flowing information, data and focus on each other, on things which can create glue between us, made us community- not just lonely individuals. From messy chaotic state I tried to get to a more clean state with less datas more sights. (The texts are in my native language, which is hungarian and all of the them are excerpt from poems written by Fernando Pessoa. All the pictures were made by me).
Sea of information and data
The first poem presents a state where we are bombed with tones of datas, we are always moving on a compulsive way. The text on this picture is from Pessoa's poem: Carnaval.
Performance pressure
As in the second poem, we are traveling, looking for new stimulus. We have lists in our mind things on it which we want to fulfill. We have an urge to doing something without break. Even old customs could be victims of the consumer society. The texts on this picture is from Pessoa's poems: Carnaval, & Ode maritima.
Slowing down
The third poem is about looking for roads, looking for a method through which we can stop the moving, we can resist the pressure of the crowd and have a little break from the constantly flowing information. Let give us enough time to realize the scenery surrounding us. Not only using a beautiful stream as a metaphor, but we actually go and see it in the analog world. The Pessoa poem on this picture is from 'Hoje de manha sai muito cedo'.
Symbols and attention
In the fourth picture, or we can say in our fourth stanza we reach the state where we can realize the world around us, we can pay attention to other people. We can hear them we can listen to them. And we can see the world through the same eye. We can think the same about certain things, symbols. Without words we can sit to each other in the silence safe from the hustle of the mordern buzzing world. The Pessoa poem in this case is a verse from 'Psicotipia'.
Art of lingering
And the final chapter is where we can linger and see some bright and shiny spot amid the chaos. Not necessarily a final stage is this, but if we have the map, how can we get here, then we can say we have a tiny bit miracle. 'E o esplendor' is the poem from where the text comes.
