Feet out of Water

More needle felting!!

As I get more comfortable with needle felting I'm starting to be more brave with my colours.

I thought this piece was finished and then I decided to try to add a little reflection and I love the look.

Another thing I tried to achieve in this piece was showing the legs under the water.
This technique definitely would have worked better had the legs had been a different colour than the water.

When I embroider I generally leave the skin of my figures empty. I've done shading but I like to make the clothing/shoes the focus of my work. Maybe I'll try this design again with contrasting leg colour...
