Lagos Noir

Short stories are my longest-standing form of creative expression and, some years ago, I was invited to contribute a story to the Lagos Noir collection. Akashic publishes noir stories from around the world, curating anthologies focused on cities.

For Lagos Noir, which was edited by Chris Abani, I wrote a short story about a character stuck in the rut of her daily life. Dealing with depression yet constantly confronted by misogyny, the character answers the title question of my story, ‘What Are You Going To Do?’
