Refugee - the story of a Syrian young man

"Refugee" tells the story of the Syrian Youssef with whom I met in Tilburg, The Netherlands. The 13-page journalistic-comic was published in Dutch newspapers as "Gevlucht"; BN De Stem and Brabants Dagblad, prior to Christmas 2016. Drawing the Times published the story in English on their website.

I became good friends with Youssef and got the opportunity to talk with him about his experiences as he was willing to share his story. The story is based on our talks and interviews. I drew the comic on A2 with pencil and coloured it with Krita.
