For this course I made a papercut inspired by a Japanese ukiyo-e. It depicts kabuki actor Ōtani Oniji III as Yakko Edobei (1794). There is some kind of mysticism around the artist Tōshūsai Sharaku, who only made art for 10 months and nobody knows what was up with him. He wasn't really famous at the time but became one of the most known ukiyo-e artists!
Crabman is one of my little 'brainfarts' of which I'll be making a children's book.
It was a fun course and I learnt a lot! Thanks for the journey, José, you have a really lovely and interesting style!
