Tries with silhouettes. I ended up going for the witch as she seemed to be the most recognisable when I asked.Base colour for the character.Testing antialiasing on lineart.And testing pixel perfect. I ended up going with this technique.Lighting tests, cenit light specifically.Side lighting test, which is what I went for.Forest background elaborated by extracting palette from complementary colours to the witch plus a couple tweaks.Final submission after adding the bags for the broom and going over the character to polish arms, the hat and the legs.
