River City Tattoo Collective

Ben of RCTC approached me with the need for a new storefront.

As the storefront was mainly glass windowpanes, and as the shop mainly dealt in traditional style tattoos, we both felt this called for a bold, loud and decorative design. I created sketches that we then wittled down to this final design.

Over the course of a week or so, I laid out, reverse water gilded and hand-painted this window, and hand-painted another on the other side of the building.

Ben was chuffed with the final project! It definitely stands out on this heavily trafficked road, and helps to invite a lot of attention to passersby. It also blends well with the work they create inside, and ties in to the traditional design of the building and area.

The shopfront also needed small signage lower down for socials, which I also hand-painted. I also hand-painted their smaller side window, leaving the gold off this side so that the front really stood out.
