COLOUR PORTRAITS

With these portraits I have been experimenting with colour.

I enjoy discovering the psychological effect of different combinations, some grab your attention while others feel more serene.

Working in this way I still feel that the character of the person should be paramount and the colour technique should work towards that, rather than being an end-in-itself.

Most of these images were lit with gels over LEDs or fluorescents with my camera at wide apertures (f1.4-f2)
